Pucklechurch Prospectus

We are very proud of all the children in our school and of their achievements both in and beyond the classroom.

As you will see from the back of this prospectus our children perform very well in Government tests (SATs). It certainly takes a great deal of the hard work and commitment to achieve such results.

However if we only focussed on tests, we would only be preparing the children for part of their future life. At Pucklechurch we see learning and achievement as a rich and creative experience for every child. We believe that the arts, music and sport should have a high profile in daily activities. Our aim is to enable children to develop key life skills such as confidence, responsibility and teamwork. Above all we wish to give them a love of learning.

The school has a particularly caring ethos and we find that new children settle in quickly. New Reception children have opportunities for 'taster' sessions before they start. If your child is older, we make sure that they are paired up with a 'new friend' who takes care of them during the first few weeks.

If you haven't already taken the opportunity to see the school at work, please contact the school office to arrange a mutually convenient time for a visit.

I very much look forward to meeting you and being part of your child's learning.

Mr David Forrester
Headteacher
