We aim for our pupils to:

  • receive a broad, balanced and creative curriculum within a happy and secure environment

  • develop an understanding of Christian belief, practices and values
  • respect and be sensitive to other people's beliefs, faiths and cultures

  • be aware of the necessity of a healthy lifestyle and the importance of exercise

  • develop their own sense of self worth and learn to value others

  • promote opportunities for all children to develop high self-esteem be honest, fair and tolerant, with the confidence to be truthful

  • to develop independence, reach their academic potential, and perceive school as a positive experience

  • to benefit from effective partnerships within and beyond the school

  • develop an awareness of local environmental issues and how humans impact the world

We will do this by providing:

  • a window on the world outside the child's experience

  • high quality leadership, management and team work by all staff governors to continue to develop the school for the benefit of all pupils

  • well managed financial resources ensuring quality education for all

  • effective partnerships between school, home and the community

  • a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum, promoting creativity and making school a happy and positive experience

  • An environment that is open and secure to encourage honesty, tolerance, independence, celebration and responsibility

  • high quality teaching and learning opportunities

The above aims and provision were developed by staff and Governors during INSET day - October 2002.
