The School Council was formed in the Summer Term of 2000. Each
class elects 2 class members to represent them. The Reception classes
elect their councillors for the Summer term only. New councillors
are elected in September at the start of a new school year. Councillors
are recognised by a special badge and by their photographs, which
are displayed in school.
Their role is one of liaison between staff and pupils and it is
a role that they take very seriously. Regular meetings are held
with staff members where important issues are discussed. Councillors
take relevant ideas and decisions back to their class teacher and
report to their class during regular Circle Time discussion.
